24th Annual SHRINE Knight Golf Outing

St. John’s Golf and Conference Center, Plymouth
Friday, June 21st, 10:30 AM shot-gun, $130 fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
(Dinner only? $35), Recent Alumni (2009-13) $80
Bus (optional)  leaves from Shrine High at 8:30 a.m., returns 6:30 p.m.

Former Shrine Faculty Member Passes

Shrine condolences and prayers go out to the family of former Shrine Faculty member Robert “Bob” MacDonald who passed away this past Monday.  Mr. MacDonald will be remembered as the “consumers studies” teacher at Shrine from 1971 to 1989.  At his request there will be no memorial service.  Thank you for your service and dedication to Shrine and Catholic education Mr. MacDonald!

Welcome Father John Riccardo ’83

Father Riccardo ’83 spoke to Academy and High School students on Friday, April 12th in Sanders Auditorium.   Shortly after, he fielded questions from Shrine juniors and seniors.  Father Riccardo currently serves as the Pastor at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth, MI.  In addition to attending Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, He  studied at The Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, and the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for studies on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.  You can read more about Father John Riccardo in the special feature section of the Summer of 2010 SHRINE Today on this website.  Thank you Father Riccardo!

SHRINE COMMUNITY NETWORKING EVENT!

Alumni encouraged but open to all parents, parishioners, and friends of Shrine.  Hosted at Shrine High School. Every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 8AM ( 1 hour) in the Student Center.  Next meeting is Wed., May 15 17th.
May’s event will be held at Crispelli’s Bakery and Pizzeria, Berkley (12 & Woodward)
